for xmas i got the elliptical from my husband i had been wanting one for a long time now since i really can’t get to the gym, i have 2 kids and i am trying to lose the extra weight i gained with my 2nd child he is going to be 1 in jan, now my question is i just started using the elliptical this week, and i have been eating nothing but chicken and vegetables and drinking water from when i first wake up in the morning.. my question to all is since i just started doing the elliptical i have started off by only doing it 20 min at night like an hour or 2 after dinner, do is that sufficient, i mean would that help me lose weight ? or do i have to do more?

Ya that will help. Doctors recommend 20+ minutes of exercise 3 or more times a week…best for your heart.

I wouldn’t go too hard at it at first, ‘cuz you’ll get hurt, or else get fed up with it. Take it slow…it took time to put on weight, it’ll take the same time to take it off.

Also try the elliptical BEFORE dinner, rather than afterwards. Two reasons: After dinner your body is busy digesting and has no time for your muscles. Also, exercises like elliptical machines make you lose your appetite, so you will eat less at dinner after working it out.
