I won’t pretend to be a fitness expert. After doing some research on the internet on elliptical trainers and tread mills, I decided that an elliptical was best for me because of the low impact, and arm workout.
The E95 came in a well packaged box with all the pieces there and all in perfect condition. Like others have said, the assembly instructions are not the best in the world but are at least written in coherent, clear English sentences with enough diagrams to make assembly fairly easy. All the pieces fit together well and appear to be high quality to me.
After only a few days of use, overall I’m very happy with the E95… It’s nice and quiet and very smooth. Like others have said, the fan is not very good but it’s a non-issue to me. I’ll get a floor fan if I need it. 
One of the main reasons I went with the “high end” E95 is because I wanted a computer console with enough programs and versatility keep things interesting and challenging to me as I improve over the months and years. The E95 has 6 factory programs, 2 “heart rate” programs, and 2 “user defined” programs. The display and layout of the buttons is great. Everything is user friendly and functional.
The 2 user defined programs are great for me and my wife to setup our own workout paces which are very different, and progress at our own rates. Very important, these user defined programs. But, they don’t work… 
They are supposed to save your Name, Age, Weight, Workout Time, and Workout Level Segments. Sounds great huh, you can totally customize the resistance level of each of the 20 “segments” that make up your total workout time, for both you and someone else! But the Workout Time and the Segment Level settings do not save! Big disappointment.
This is an important feature in my opinion for a $1700 dollar machine to have, and for the E95 it just doesn’t seem to work.
I’ve contacted Sole Treadmills to let them know. Hopefully this is just a malfunctioning console and they will replace it quickly. I would not recommend this elliptical for now to anyone, because in my opinion, a $1700 dollar machine should have everything working PERFECTLY the first time. In my opinion, the odds of me just happening to get a console that is bad should be very low, and could point to a console/electronics that is just cheap crap and I have made a bad choice.
I will wait and see and make another report in a few weeks. But at this time I would hold off buying this machine until I find out how their support department will handle this problem.
UPDATE 1-20-07: Sole Fitness has replaced the computer console and the setup routines work perfectly now. They immediately placed an order for a new unit and it arrived at my home in just 2 weeks. Very happy with their customer service, shows they will stand by their products if there is a problem. Changing my recommendation for the E95 to “YES!”.
