The Body Solid 1500 continues to amaze me after two months of ownership. I am not a “hard-core” exercise buff, and I do not think that this machine would satisfy twenty-somethings who can curl 100+ lbs., but it is perfect for the thirty-somethings who want a home mini-gym without spending a fortune and without consuming a ton of space. The quality of the machine is top-notch. The variety of exercise modes is impressive. The machine is smooth and predictable. You will need to buy a couple of extra handles (stirrup and revolving curl bar) to get the most out of the machine, but this shouldn’t cost more than $25 or $30. Simply stated, in the $600.00 price range, there is nothing that can touch the 1500’s design and quality. In this regard, I agree entirely with the review of the machine contained in Consumer Reports.
